A SPECIAL VIRTUAL PROGRAM ON HOW DEMENTIA IS AFFECTING DIVERSE COMMUNITIES AND GET EXPERT ADVICE FOR AGING IN PLACE STRATEGIES. This special program is meant to provide a better understanding of the experiences of people living with dementia, with a focus on Latino, Black, Asian, and LGBTQ communities. Experts will address the impact of dementia on those living with the disease, cultural expectations, tips on how to support aging in place with dementia, and identify available community resources.

DR. CECILIA S. HAN, PH.D., ABPP Board-certified clinical neuropsychologist specializes in serving populations with acquired brain injuries and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Han is also a volunteer community educator for the Alzheimer’s Association since 2020.

DR. AMENA JOHNSON Montgomery County LGBTQ Community Liaison. Dr. Johnson supports and advocates for members of the LGBTQ community in Montgomery County.
